The core responsibility of the Economic Development team is to establish Hawke's Bay as the premier province for business.

Firstly, through regional economic development projects designed to maximise the region's natural attributes and competitive advantages. Secondly, through working with the region's businesses, Hawke's Bay Inc is established as the region's business hub and portal for available business information, such as business planning, exporting, and much more.
